WHPT successfully conducted foreign aid training on 5G development and industry trend

On July 22, the special online training on 5G Development and Industry Trend was jointly organized by Wuhan Polytechnic, Universitas Stekom and International Cultural Communication Center  Malaysia.

Mr. Li Wangyun, Vice President of Wuhan Polytechnic, Dr.Joseph, Rector of Stekom University, Ms Loo Hui Ann, Manager of International Collaboration, ICCCM were present at the opening session. Leaders from the School of  Electronic Information Engineering, Department of International Relations(International School) and more than 160 teachers and students from Universitas STEKOM attended the training. 

Mr. Li Wangyun delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He expressed his sincere welcome to the participants and congratulated them on the success of the training. Mr. Li made an introduction about the history, main achievements, international cooperation and exchanges of Wuhan Polytechnic, and pointed out that development was the common vision of both sides and hoped that both sides could benefit from this cooperation. Mr. Li wished the trainees a fruitful harvest in the training. He hoped that the training would serve as a starting point to strengthen the interaction and exchanges between China and Indonisia in the field of vocational education, jointly promote the coordinated development of multi-specialties and multi-fields, improve the quality of talent training and contribute to the development of vocational education in China and Indonisia.

Ms Loo Hui Ann, Manager of International Collaboration, ICCCM said in her speech that " the training has built a platform for the communication between Chinese higher vocational colleges and Indonesian universities in the field of 5G, enhanced friendship and laid a foundation for promoting cooperation. She looked forward to more cooperation with Wuhan Polytechnic". 

Dr.Joseph, Rector of Stekom University expressed his gratitude to WHPT and ICCCM in his speech.He said that the rapid development of 5G technology has brought profound changes to industry and life. Learning 5G knowledge from China will help Indonesia's professional construction in mobile communication and other disciplines, improve the professional quality of teachers and enhance the competitiveness of students for employment .

Ms. Wan Xiazi, School of Electronic Information Engineering gave a special training

After the openning session, Ms. Wan Xiazi made a special training on 5G development and industry trend, which illustrated the evolution of mobile communication technology from 1G to 5G, focusing on the main business, challenges, construction as well as industry trends of 5G, to help students deepen their understanding on 5G.

The success of this training has played a positive role in promoting the cooperation and exchanges between WHPT and Indonesia and other Belt and Road countries, contributing to create a new pattern of international development during the construction of Double High Schools.
