From 2017, Wuhan Polytechnic started cooperation with Marburg an der Lahn, Hessen, Germany. We selected excellent students from our school to participate in the "Sino-German Bridge" Employment Project, during which students receive German vocational education (dual system), and find jobs in German enterprises.
I.Introduction to German Dual-system Vocational Education (Duale Berufsausbildung)
Germany is short for Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland). It covers an area of 360,000 square kilometers and has a population of nearly 90 million. It has more than 2,300 world-class brands. "Made in Germany" represents quality and exquisiteness. The level of Germany’s "Industrial 4.0" (the fourth industrial revolution) initiated by Germany is far ahead in the world.
The advanced dual-system vocational education in Germany supports "Made in Germany", which continuously supplies professional talents for German enterprises and ensures the sustained and stable development of German industry. Dual system (Duale Berufsausbildung) in Germany is a kind of vocational education which combines theoretical study with practical operation. It enables what learns in school be used directly in work. This shortens the distance between enterprises and school education and helps achieve its goal of training practical talents for enterprises.
II.Brief Introduction of "Sino-German Bridge "
The "Sino-German Bridge "project, with full name Applied Technical Talents Trainning Project under the Sino-German Dual System, was set up by Marburg, Germany with a purpose of selecting outstanding young Chinese who are eager to obtain international vision and elite vocational education, and sending them to Germany to receive high-quality vocational education (dual vocational education), which has been handed down for one hundred years.
III.Training mode: A+B+C training mode
Module A (4-8 months): German basic learning, assessment, visa application.
Module B (8-12 months): Language study in Germany and taking job interviews.
Module C (3-3.5 years): German vocational and technical training (dual system), paid internship.
IV.Enrollment Plan
1.Recruitment targets: students in school or graduates in previous years.

Mechatronics: automobile maintenance, electrical automation, mechatronics, mechanical automation, metal and machinery manufacturing
Medical category: rehabilitation nursing, oral nursing, precision medical machinery manufacturing, oral technology
Life services: Hotel management, catering services, German pastry baking, hairdressing
Architecture: heating, ventilation, fine woodworking
V.Study Expenditure and Intern Income
1.Expenditure: The total cost of four years' study is 216,000 RMB, averaging about 50,000 yuan per year.
2.Income: After entering vocational school, the allowance is about RMB 80,000 to 104,000 per year, and the total income is 240,000 to 300,000 yuan.
VI.Project Advantages
The government's technology talent introduction project has a high visa pass rate and ensures employement in German enterprise.
Participants could obtain German Vocational Certificate (full teacher certificate), which is acknowledged in Europe. They will have working experience in German enterprises and high salary.
Participants would have strong practical ability, and can enter research universities for further study, transform into academic talents.
Immigration service and whole process management. German full-time personnel manage the study, life, internship and employment, and provide language, legal and other services for project students. After five years of work, they can apply for German immigrants and enjoy national treatment with high welfare in Germany.
